ORLANDO, Fla., Aug 21, 2019 – Mimi McKee, REALTOR® with Ocean Properties & Management Inc, located in New Smyrna Beach (NSB), Fla attended the 103rd annual Florida Realtors® Convention & Trade Expo held Aug. 21-22, 2019 at Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando, Fla.
Realtors from around the state came to the convention to discuss key issues that shape their profession and the state association. Members had a choice of more than 40 education sessions on topics like new trends in real estate, disaster recovery planning, video marketing Florida’s evolving cannabis laws, best practices for brokers and more.
“This was my third show I attended since becoming licensed in 2012,” said McKee. “Knowledge is power in this industry. I came back to NSB with a renewed motivation and strategies I can implement in my business now.”
McKee describes her experience as “amazing”. She noted these items of importance during her experience: economy discussions and statistical reports indicate NO RECESSION, blockchain technology is the future of the industry and the impact Florida’s water crisis will have on real estate.
The convention featured songwriter and Grammy-nominated Top 40 singer John Ondrasik, also known as Five for Fighting, during the general session, with keynote speaker Ryan Serhant, super sales broker and Bravo TV star of Million Dollar Listing New York, wrapping up the closing session.
“I enjoyed Ryan’s closing presentation,” explains McKee. “He stated to be successful, you must follow through with your commitments. That resonated with me as I’ve always believed you should do what you say you will.”
This year’s Trade Expo featured more than 225 industry experts and exhibitors showcasing the latest marketing, technology and other business tools. McKee was impressed by All My Sons Moving & Storage, who featured a champ-pong table at their booth, PunchList, who has simplified the home repair process and dotloop, streamlining digital contract technology.
